The Green Machine

A few weeks ago I started to feel a sore throat coming on and I immediately ran to Starbucks to grab an Odwalla C Monster smoothie. However, the baristas informed me that they are no longer carrying Odawalla and suggested I try Naked's Green Machine. Now if you have ever seen the Odwalla C Monster you will know it looks just like orange juice. Not so much with the Green Machine! They insisted I give it a try and even said it was on them.

I went home and poured this lovely green drink into a cup, added a little ice and downed it. Ok I might have sipped on it. I was really optimistic but it really did help! By the next day my sore throat was gone and I felt so much better.

Here's a little info about Naked Juices:
Naked Juice is made from "bare-naked fruit", with no added sugar, preservatives, artificial colors or flavors, and claims to have a pound of fruit in every bottle. A Superfood is any food that is high in enzymes, phytochemicals, vitamins, minerals, Chlorophyll, and antioxidants.

Green Machine ingredients:
Green Machine: apple and pear juice blend, pineapple juice, mango puree, kiwifruit puree, banana puree with powdered spirulina, chlorella, brocolli, green tea extract, spinach, barley grass, wheat grass, blue green algae, echinacea purpurea extract, odorless garlic

It actually tastes pretty good. It doesn't taste like the veggies I just read in the ingredients. It's kind of sweet now that I think of it. Definitely tastes better than it looks. Hope you are feeling better!

Yikes, that looks scary! But I'm a huge proponent of super foods, so yay for you! Glad you're feeling better!! (I wish it was organic.)
