::sigh:: Kauai...I love Kauai. It's gorgeous, peaceful and relaxing! We just spend the past week in Poipu with my parents and Will. Patrick and I had stayed at the Grand Hyatt for three nights on our honeymoon and after that trip we couldn't wait to go back. It was so nice to have my parents along with us- there are always a great help with Will and he just adores them both. This was a relaxing trip- we didn't do much of the guided tourist thing. We sat by the pool every other day and in between those days we went and explored the island ourselves. We drove to the Princeville hotel, which I was really looking forward to checking out, but once we got here we learned it was closed for renovations! So nevermind that hour to an hour and a half drive! So instead we grabbed a $23 (YES $23!) large pizza and headed back to the other side of the island and stopped at some waterfalls on the way. We were going to do this rafting tour that takes you down the irrigation systems until we learned it was a 3 hour tour and Will was too young. Oh well, maybe next time. Of course we ate (and some drank!) way too much but that's what you're supposed to do on vacation! Thanks again mom and dad for a wonderful trip! We hope you'd want to travel with us and Will again!
If you go to Kauai, you must make a reservation ahead of time at The Beach house for dinner at sunset. So delicious and beautiful! The first few pics are from our dinner at The Beach House.
I was using your blog tonight to try and figure something out on my blog. Can't get it to work for now... I got distracted reading way back when... I saw this post and I have to comment on the chicken. I remember that from our trip to Kauai. There were so many of them all over the island. Thanks for giving me a quick memory.
