it's been two weeks

since I last saw Patrick. He left for CO on 01.08.2009. Which I think is ironic, #8 is his lucky number. Patrick and I had a great week leading up to the 8th. On Sunday, January 4th we had a huge celebration for Will's 1st birthday. It was so much fun and everyone had a great time. The new family photo of us at the top of the blog was taken on that day. I still have tons of great bday party pics to post. Tuesday, January 6th Patrick and I went for a 3D ultrasound of our lil' girl. Afterwards we went out to Newport Rib Company for dinner. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves. It was perfect. We both had ribs. Patrick said those ribs had nothing on Houston's ribs. Those were his fav ribs. Wednesday we met my parents, Papa and Mazal for dinner at Quinn's Old Town Grille to celebrate Will's birthday (again!) Thursday morning Patrick got up, got ready and woke me up to say goodbye.

Looking back, I'm so glad we did the things we did. Not just that last week we had together but life in general. We always did whatever we wanted, living life to the fullest. You have to, as you never know when it's your turn to go.

Sounds like a great week, Erynn. And it's great to hear that you're happy with the way you and Patrick lived day to day - I'm sure it's a comfort knowing you lived life to the fullest while you had the opportunity.

You are making him proud, sweet girl. And I am proud. You continue to be in my thoughts and you know how to find me if ever I can help.

Post anything you want, E! We're here, we are all in your corner, and as for 'dee - she's not going anywhere. Big hugs to you, my friend.
