it's been
a month since I saw Patrick. I looked at my phone earlier and saw that today is the 8th. He left for CO on January 8th. I can't believe it's been a month since I last saw him as he hugged and kissed me good-bye. Who knew that would be the last time I got to see him. You don't know and that sucks.

it's not fair. and I am so sorry.
Still here, still thinking about you every single day, and still sending all the emotional strength and virtual hugs in the world -- along with a small army of friends who care.
Just know that while we can't LIVE it for you - we can't take away that ache and that hurt, much as we all wish we could - we are still right here IN it with you.
