day 2

phew.

much better than day 1.

Although day 1 night sucked.. After returning from a night out with everyone, Reese decidedshe wanted to party... til 5am. So we cried together until she finally passed out in my arms. Guess she forgot mommy had been up since 4am the morning before~ miserable!

Day 2 we took W&R down by the river to let will practice one of his favorite activities- throwing things. Although no balls were in sight, he threw rocks into the river as Grandpa tried to teach him how to skip them along the water. It was so beautiful outside, the weather was perfect. Reese sat back and watched from afar in her stroller, happy as can be. I love watching her watch Will. She is mesmerized by her older brother.

We came back to the ranch for naps and then got ready for rehearsal. As the pastor gathered our group and prayed halfway during the rehearsal and mentioned P&B, tears filled my insanely tired eyes once again.  Just another reminder of what we were missing. We headed to dinner and a welcome reception for all the guest in town. So good to see so many familiar faces and new faces I'd never met. Some of Patrick's family who live out of state I hadn't seen since the service and this was their 1st time meeting Ms. Reese. Afterwards we walked to some Pub and on the way I walked by a car with a sticker on the back that read "PATRICK." Weird! Is this my "sign?" We arrived at the pub only to realize I didn't have my id with me! My parents took the kids home a couple hours before and my wallet was in my diaper bag. Security dude wouldn't let me in. Really? Do I look less than 21? RUDE! Oh well, better I go to bed anyway, before Reese does me in with another horrible night!

day 2, survived. trust test tomorrow.

Good luck today Erynn. I think that was a sign that the sticker said Patrick. Have you ever seen a sticker like that before? And I bet Reese charmed everyone with those chubby cheeks!!

So happy day 2 was a tad better. Ms. Reese must not like new places to sleep like Will once did! Glad you got to see some warm and comforting faces. And I def think you got at least 1 sign!! YAY! He is there with you, like we knew he would be. Thinking about you and the whole family today! xo

I would say that the sticker is definitely your sign! Even though you might not feel him all the time, P is always there with you! Sometimes, when I can't sleep at night, I lay in the dark, and ask Dan to give me a huge hug like he use to. Then, I just lay there in the quiet. Sometimes I feel it, sometimes I don't, but I know he is always there. P is always there with you and the kids, watching, and keeping you all safe along your journey together. Prayers and happy thoughts coming your way this weekend!!

Chin up,
Mandy
