what a morning
we spent 4 hours in the ER yesterday morning for Will. He was diagnosed with croup last Friday and we have been able to control it with the help of his humidifier until yesterday. My dad didn't feel comfortable with his breathing, he was taking about 100 breaths per minute and using his entire body to get a breath, so he wanted to take him to Children's Hospital. We all went down to the ER and spent 4 hours there. Will got 3 breathing treatments and his first set of x-rays. He hates those x-rays. I could barely watch and of course because I am pregnant I couldn't stand next to him to comfort him...so he was screaming and reaching for me but I was helpless. At that moment I started thinking of how strong and comforting Patrick would be in this situation and how much I had wished he was there with me. The breathing treatments we are doing at home every 6 hours are definitely helping with his couch and wheezing. Will hasn't had a single cold or cough since birth until now... so of course, it has great timing. Let's hope we can get it under control within a couple of days.

Under the circumstances, that pictures is precious. I'm glad he is doing better. My nephew had it recentely and it scared the crap out of my sister seeing him not being able to breathe. He had to sleep sitting straight up.

Aww, poor baby! It's never fun to sit in the ER (we were just there before xmas with Carter- RSV). I hope the little guy starts feeling better soon and that the breathing treatments work!
